About Us

What Makes Sense for US?

I'm a scientist, athlete, parent, and entrepreneur; I "retired" early and am married to a wonderful, smart, CEO.    We do fun and exciting things, and we love each other and our kids, who are grown up now and doing fine.

I would go to high school and college reunions (Horace Mann and Harvard) and I felt I was the luckiest, happiest of all of us.     But, more than one classmate made the following comment:     "You were the smartest kid in the class; you should do something with your brain to make the world a better place".

The problem is, most people don't listen to smart people, and they often don't even like smart people.    Being smart and genuinely well-meaning, even if you try really hard, doesn't end up helping much because most people will still keep doing the same dumb things they've been doing, anyway.     Even our elected government.    Maybe especially our elected government.     But, I guess, we have to try.

So I've dedicated this site to what smart people would do if they could only act like smart people and do what makes sense for us as a nation.
